a more INTELLIGENT approach to equipment finance

The Customer:

A global provider of ground and cargo handling services in the aviation industry.

The Challenge:

A global provider of ground and cargo handling services within the aviation industry had entered into a lease with a bank to help them finance the acquisition of new equipment.

Fast forward to the end of the lease – they were alarmed to discover that the original terms provided by the bank would not permit an extension to the lease. The only options available were to either purchase the equipment outright or return it.

As neither of these options were suitable, they needed to find another solution fast.

The Solution:

The equipment was still central to the running of the business, so they needed to find a way to retain use of the machinery without the added expense or burden of owning it outright.

Somerset was appointed to help them find the right solution. We used our expertise to quickly evaluate the assets, purchased the equipment from the bank and provided a flexible operating lease. As the bank was completely taken out of their position, the customer was able to keep their assets in use throughout the process diminishing any disruption to the business. On top of that, we were also able to offer a much lower payment plan for the customer.

Going beyond finance:

For over 30 years, Somerset Capital Group has provided customised, equipment finance solutions globally to leading businesses. We use our extensive industry knowledge to develop tailored finance options that are right for you.
